I would like to express my sincerest sympathies to this family. I know this loss must be troublesome. May you take some comfort from knowing that there will be a resurrection of our dead loved ones. This wonderful Bible  truth can be found at Acts 24:15. The Bible shares this not only to comfort us but to give us an amazing hope for the future. With real sympathy, Derrick.

I am sorry to hear about Charlie.  I met him two or three times, as he was married to Sandra, my best friend.  He loved animals so very much and did a lot to help them. That was Charlie. I know he liked the oldies music, especially the Animals as did Sandra. He is now in Heaven in the loving arms of GOD and we will all see him again.  Charlie. always in our hearts and prayers. May GOD bless all you.

Dear Mrs. Drier and family, so very sorry to hear about the passing of your son Charlie.  I am a good friend of Sandra's and since I never had the pleasure to meet Charlie, Sandra would fill me in about him as different subjects or topics would come up in our conversations.  When a song was playing on the radio, Sandra would comment on how much Charlie liked the particular song or singing group and how they both shared a common love for music.

Sandra would say that Charlie liked visiting Florida's beaches and would have liked to eventually live there someday.  Also, how Charlie would get creative with different types of sandwiches, especially a Thanksgiving sandwich which they both enjoyed to eat.

So although I never knew Charlie, I was able to get a glimpse of how much he was a very special person in Sandra's life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time, and I will keep Charlie in my prayers too.

Dear Mrs. Drier, Linda and family,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Charlie. I was happy to have shared in the wonderful memory of meeting him for the first time; when we met Eric Burdon, sixties legend. He joined my sisters and I that evening, just sitting around chatting about our common interest, music.
My sister Sandra and Charlie began what I recall was a loving, playful relationship. They both appeared to be very happy. I know Sandra has always kept a very special place for Charlie in her heart. He is my brother-in law and death will not separate the fact that I consider him family and always have. He along with Sandra are kept in my daily prayers and will continue to be. I believe we will all one day be together in Paradise. God bless him always. Charlie was a good soul;may he rest in peace. My best to all of you at this most difficult time.

Sincerely,

Marisa Luongo

Dear Mrs. Drier, Linda and family,
I was so saddened to hear the news of Charlie's passing. Even though I haven't seen him in years he and your family was always in my prayers. He was my brother n law and I remember seeing and hearing many happy times when he was married to my sister. I remember how much he loved music, nature, cooking and his stealth. He had a great sense of humor and would like to joke with my son JJ and would call me my childhood nickname " Kitten". My prayers will continue for Charlie and all of you . Rest In Peace Charlie , no more suffering . We will meet again . 💔🙏

I write this with a heavy heart. I am so, so sorry for your loss, ''mom" (Dorothy), Linda, Joe, Amy, and Susan. Your sorrow must be immense- losing a son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. And for me, a dear and very much loved person. The love we shared will be forever harbored in my heart. I love hearts ❤️ and so one can imagine my surprise when I met Charlie in 1992 and realized he was born on Valentine's Day. How special is that!!! How special he was......is........he lives in my heart. Linda, you are right in everything you so eloquently wrote in his obituary- he loved family! He was so anxious for me to meet his mom and would tell me that she had such a great sense of humor. True - we shared many happy times together! He loved his sister and her family and told me many times of how he and his sister spent most of their very early years in Europe. He told me his father was in the Army and had many assignments there. Charlie was so proud, and understandably so, of his Dad's Colonel status. His mom also would engage us in stories of her Army wife days and the challenges of bringing up her little children in a foreign country. And I remember him telling me how amazed he was when he finally came back to America, the comparisons between them both. And how he loved his beloved Florida! I spent vacation time with him there - visiting the ocean, the West Palm Beach Zoo, visiting an old friend of his, Buddy, and his family, etc.
And Charlie loved music - another thing we had in common. Actually, that is how we met - at a 1992 Eric Burdon venue in MA.  Being a Massachusetts 'girl', Charlie introduced me to all kinds of fun stuff - visiting the White Mountains, camping, motorcycling and just essentially bringing out my fun and adventurous side. And, so, Charlie's passing is so, so sad for me. I cannot look at the sky again, nature again (he loved little animals and 🦋 butterflies), the ocean again, enjoy a sandwich again (he loved to experiment with different flavors and foods)......without thinking of this dear, charmingly unique (my parents and sisters loved him also) and adventurous person. Charlie, you will be in my heart forever and only you, Charlie, will know the deep love I had/have for you.
When we were younger, I would tell you, 'I love you' and you would respond 'I love you more' and I would repeat 'I love you more'....and so forth. Well, Charlie, I can tell you now - that love we had for each other will never die. 💝💖
