Charles E. Rodimon, Jr.

Charles E. Rodimon, Jr., 94, of Pelham, passed away peacefully while under hospice care at the home of his dear friends and neighbors, Scott and Krista Martell whom he considered his loving family.
Born in Haverhill, New Hampshire, January 22, 1923, the son of the late Charles E. and the late Annie (Farrell) Rodimon, he attended Haverhill schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School in the Class of 1942.
A veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Rifleman and was credited with destroying enemy personnel and assisting in capturing and securing enemy positions. His weapons expertise consisted of rifle, automatic rifle, rocket launcher, rifle grenade launcher, bayonet, trench knife and hand grenade. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge as well as the World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Before enlisting in the Army, he worked on his father’s farm assisting in raising crops, poultry and livestock. He was experienced in milking cows by hand and by machine and operated tractors and thrashers.
Between his two tours of duty, Charles worked as a Tool & Die Maker with the Moore Drop Forge Company in Springfield, MA.
Before retiring, he was employed as an Engineer with in Nashua, for many years.
A simple man by nature, Charles enjoyed working around his house which he built himself.
In addition to Scott and Krista, Mr. Rodimon is survived by many neighbors and friends.
Per his own wishes, there will be no calling hours and he will be interred privately at North Pelham Cemetery on land that he donated to the town.
