Darlene M. Balzotti

Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend

Darlene M. (Henel) Balzotti, 50, of Pelham, NH, died Thursday, February 9th at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Paul E. Balzotti, Jr. who survives her and with whom she celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on July 7, 2016.
Born in Kenmore, New York, July 9, 1966, a daughter of Robert Henel of Lockport, NY and the late Joan (Neuhaus) Henel, she was a graduate of Williamsville North High School. Eager to further her education, she then went on to graduate from Alleghany College in Meadville, PA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Spanish and Economics. Continuing even further, she graduated from Southern New Hampshire College with a Master of Business Administration Degree.
Darlene was employed as a Director of Customer Service at Smith & Nephew in Andover for over 16 years.
Among her many interests, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, especially to Disney World in Orlando, FL and baking. She loved baking cookies for her favorite holiday – Christmas. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox and Buffalo Bills fan.
Darlene always loved to boast about when she was living in western New York State as a young girl, she belonged to the 4-H Club and proudly showed off her prized chickens. However, her greatest joy, being all about family, she cherished the quality time she was able to spend with her husband and daughter.
In addition to her husband and father, Darlene is survived by a daughter Angelina M. Balzotti of Pelham, NH; a sister Sue Pitz and her husband Gary of Attica NY; a brother Robert “Bob” Henel and his longtime girlfriend Kelly Jacobi of Clarence, NY; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Linda D. and Paul E. Balzotti, Sr.; a sister-in-law Arianna Lefreniere and her husband Gary of Chelmsford, MA; and a niece and two nephews.
