David J. Parece

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather

David J. Parece, 74, of Pelham, has gone to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart, Florence M. (Harring) Parece who survives him and with whom he would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 14th of this year.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, August 19, 1942, a son of the late Alfred and the late Ruth (Jones) Parece, he received his education in the Melrose school system.
David enjoyed owning and working at Parece Automotive Services in Arlington where he retired after 42 years. During his retirement, he resided in Florida during the winter months and was active in Bethel Baptist Church.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed the outdoors. As a member of the Pelham Garden Group, he helped with the Christmas display on Pelham Common. During the winter months, he would RV in the White Mountains, downhill skiing and snowmobiling with his family. During summer, he was an avid water-skier and was a member of the Long Pond Waterski Club. He built and cherished his home on Long Pond in Pelham where he raised his three sons.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his sons Mark D. Parece and his wife Patricia and Erik W. Parece all of Pelham and Kris P. Parece and his fiancée Roberta Lemieux of Deering, NH; five grandchildren Kris, Jr., Andrew, Cortney, Jordan and Elizabeth; and three great-grandchildren Ryah, Emylia and Quinn.
