Grace A. DiCesare

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend;

Grace A. (Lancaster) DiCesare, 97, of New Milford, CT, but formerly of Pelham, NH, died Wednesday evening at Village Crest Nursing Home in New Milford, CT.

She was the beloved wife of the late John A. DiCesare, Sr. who died in 2006.

Born in Malden, Massachusetts, January 1, 1920, a daughter of the late George and the late Lillian (Anderson) Lancaster, she attended Malden schools and was a graduate of Malden High School.

Grace had many interests. She enjoyed baking and playing cards, vacationing and travelling to York, Maine

However her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her granddaughter Amy Gallagher and her husband Hugh of Barrington, NH; her grandson John A, DiCesare, III and his wife Katherine of New Milford, CT; two great granddaughters Grace A. Gallagher and Sarah E. Gallagher; two great grandsons John A. DiCesare, IV and Justin R. DiCesare;a daughter-in-law Carol (Rotunda)DiCesare of New Milford, CT; a sister Marie Varley of MA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late John A. “Jack” DiCesare, Jr. and sister of the late Annie Ripley, the late Mildred Spadafora, the late Lillian Horgan, the late Gertrude McGonagle, and the late George, John and Charlie Lancaster.

Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Monday morning followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at ST. PATRICK CHURCH at 11 o’clock.
