Robert B.”Bob” Fletcher

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather

Robert B. “Bob” Fletcher, 92, of Pelham, died peacefully Monday, July 31st at Kindred Transitional Care at Greenbriar in Nashua. He was the beloved husband of Josephine L. “Josie” (Hirsch) Fletcher who survives him and with whom they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on September 21st of this year.
Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, December 16, 1924, a son of the late Richard D. and the late Lillian (Cotton) Fletcher, he attended Pelham and Nashua schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School in the Class of 1942. He then went on to attend the University of New Hampshire – Durham.
Before retiring, Bob was employed as a Sales Representative and Builder with Ward Cedar Log Homes based out of Houlton, Maine for over 40 years. Previously, he worked as an excavator at Hirsch Brothers Excavating.
Among his many interests, Bob enjoyed traveling all over the world and the United States having gone camping in every state in the continental U.S. He served on the Pelham Planning Board, Budget Committee, was the highway Department Head and was a volunteer fire fighter. He was a 32nd degree Mason for 61 years of the Rising Son Lodge of Nashua, a member of the Deerfield Fair Association, former past president of the Pelham Lions Club and a member of the Pelham Senior Citizen Center.
In addition to his wife Josie, Bob is survived by two daughters Shelley F. Schlegel and her husband Bud of Holyoke, MA and Kimberly A. Kerepka and her husband Marc of Pelham, NH; a granddaughter Karen L. Genoter and her husband Daniel of Pelham, NH; two great-grandchildren Cameron and Rebecca; a sister-in-law Mary Fletcher of San Diego, CA; a brother-in-law Robert Hirsch and his wife Florine of Delta Junction, AK; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also father of the late Janice Chasse and brother of the late John Fletcher, Hannah Sullivan, Rebecca Carroll, Richard Fletcher, Jr. and Malcolm Fletcher.
Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 11 Nashua Rd. in Pelham from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service to be celebrated on Friday morning in the Funeral Home at 11 o’clock. Burial to follow in Gibson Cemetery.
