Raymond L. Bedard

Raymond L. Bedard, 98, of Pelham, NH passed away peacefully Thursday,  September 12, 2019 in the home of his niece and nephew, Paula (Bedard) and Martin Socha, where he received loving care for the past few years.  He was the husband of the late Pauline (Tessier) Bedard of Lawrence, MA who died in 1990. 

Born in Pelham, December 18, 1920, he was a son of the late Arthur and Georgiana (Rondeau) Bedard.  A World War II veteran, he proudly served his country.  

After the war he held many jobs, he only recently retired from Pelham Building Supply after 30 years.  Ray’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.  He was adored by all who knew him.

Raymond is survived by his two daughters Gail Wise of Springfield MO and Diane Bedard of Ogden Utah; his son Gary Bedard of Victorville, CA.; 10 grandchildren Chris, Tod, Raymond, Justin, Benjamin, Katie, Bethany, Charity, Desiree and Jennifer; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers Ronald Bedard and his wife Roberta and Arthur Bedard, Jr. all of Pelham, NH; three sisters Carmen Nical of Lawrence, MA, Jacqueline and her husband Philippe Blanchette of Pelham, NH  and Muriel Paradis of Canterbury, NH; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers Rene, Emile, Dicky and Skee Bedard, and sisters Rena Cayer, Lorraine Bergeron, Germaine McConnachie, Simone Greenwood and Gertrude Dionne.  And also his companion for several years, Shirley Dowd.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM at 11 o’clock. (Please meet at Church).
