Robert H. “Bob” Langlais
Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle
Robert H. “Bob” Langlais, 85, of Pelham, died Thursday, April 4th at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Pearl A. (Guilbeault) Langlais who survives him.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, November 1, 1933, the only son of the late Henry and the late Yvonne (Chenard) Langlais, he received his education in the Lowell school system.
Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Before retiring, Bob was employed as a Master Electrician with MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, Massachusetts. Previously, he worked in that same capacity and was also foreman at the Courier Citizen Corporation in Lowell for over 33 years.
He was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Pelham as well as a former member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks.
Among his many interests, Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and was an avid Red Sox fan. His greatest joy however, being all about family, he cherished the quality time he was able to spend with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and babysitting his grandson dog.
In addition to his wife Pearl, Bob is survived by a daughter Denise T. Walsh and her husband Daniel of Derry, NH; two sons Maurice Henry Langlais and his husband Robert Walker of Dorchester, MA and Robert P. Langlais and his wife Sandra of Derry, NH; four grandchildren Kristen Valdez and her husband Justin of Hudson, NH, and Kevin Walsh, Nicole Langlais and Brittany Langlais all of Derry, NH; three great-grandchildren Adam, Lora and Ben; a sister Lorraine LaTulippe and her husband Lucien of Lowell, MA; several nieces and nephews; and his grandson dog “Fenway”.
He was also brother of the late Jeannette Keyes and the late Theresa Vechionne.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. His Graveside Service will be held Thursday morning, May 9th at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham at 10 o'clock .
