Susan M. “Suzi” (Duffett) Jozokos
Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend
Susan M. “Suzi” (Duffett) Jozokos, 48, of Pelham, died Saturday, September 1st at her home. She was the beloved wife of Mark A. Jozokos who survives her.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 6, 1970, a daughter of Edward T. and Patricia J. (Sullivan) Duffett of Hudson, NH, she attended Hudson schools and was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary Seminary. Eager to further her education, she went on to graduate from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and then from Rivier University with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.
Suzi was employed in the Registrar’s Office at UMass Lowell as a Staff Assistant. She always went above and beyond in her duties there.
Among her many interests, she enjoyed photography, painting, cooking and entertaining. She had a reputation as being the ultimate host and a “spitfire”. She was known to be very selfless and put everyone else ahead of her own needs. Suzi always had a sunny disposition and her happiness was infectious. She volunteered her time such as in classrooms and with the Pelham Razorbacks. There was never a moment where she was not preparing for or attending an event.
In addition to her husband and parents, Suzi is survived by her four adoring children Justin M., Kaitlin R., Josephine P. and Matthew J. Jozokos; a sister Debra A. Hidalgo and her husband Jeffery of Litchfield, NH; a brother Mark E. Duffett and his wife Patricia of Nashua, NH; her mother and father-in-law John M. and Patricia J. (Chandler) Jozokos of Pelham, NH; a brother-in-law Timothy Jozokos and his wife Sharon of Pelham, NH; a brother-in-law Jonathan Jozokos and his wife Maureen of Hudson, NH; her dear friends Roger, Ellen, and Haley Jarek; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thanks to Kim Travis and Jane Madden for all the therapy and time they spent helping Suzi recover. Suzi will be missed by more friends than can be listed because she was so loved by all.
