Alfred J. Broadbent

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather,

Alfred J. Broadbent, 92, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Wednesday January 24, 2024, at Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, New Hampshire.

Born in Billerica, Massachusetts, July 9, 1931, the son of the late Alfred E. and the late Clara C. (Germann) (Broadbent) Brown, he attended Billerica Schools and was a graduate of Billerica High School.

Prior to his retirement, Alfred worked in the Research and Development Division for Raytheon Corporation in Waltham, MA, for over 35 years.

Among his many interests, Alfred enjoyed horse racing, hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

Alfred is survived by five children: Gayle Guertin and her husband Ron of Scarborough, Maine, Wayne Broadbent of Worcester, MA, Alfred J. Broadbent Jr. and his girlfriend Jen Hall of Groveland, MA, Lynn Silva and her husband Paul of Mason, NH, Alan L. Broadbent and his wife Marcy of Pelham, NH; He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

He was the husband of the late Arlene (Martel) Broadbent, father of the late Gary Broadbent and the brother of the late Beverly Simmons.

Friends may call for a Memorial Visitation on Thursday February 1, 2024, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. with words from a Pastor at 5:45 P.M.
