Arthur B. Bedard

Carpenter, Pelham Building Supply;

Arthur B., Bedard, 91, a lifelong resident of Pelham, New Hampshire, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday December 7, 2021, after a brief illness.

He was the loving husband of the late Theresa A. (Dionne) Bedard who died December 27, 2018.

Born in Pelham, New Hampshire, March 2, 1930, the son of the late Arthur and the late Georgianna (Rondeau) Bedard, Sr., he received his education in the Pelham School system.

A veteran of the Korean War, Arthur proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.

Arthur was all about work and for most of his life he was a carpenter and craftsman. Over the years, in his spare time he would help many family and friends with home improvement projects around their houses. He cherished his family.

He also worked in the plate glass industry, first at the former Demer’s Plate Glass in Haverhill, then with Eastern Plate Glass and finally with Pelham Building Supply in Pelham where he was most happy.

Arthur is survived by a daughter Donna M. Sayer and her husband Richard of Pelham, NH; two sons Rene A. Bedard and his wife Joanne of Pelham and Alan J. Bedard and his wife Wanda of Dry Ridge, KY; six grandchildren Nicholas, Adam, Amy, Eric, Chad and Paige; five great grandchildren Andrew, Madilyn, Amelia, Mallory and Henry; three sisters Carmen Nical of Lawrence, Jacqueline Blanchette and her husband Philippe of Pelham, NH and Muriel Paradis of Canterbury, NH; two sisters-in-law Roberta Bedard and Monica Bedard both of Pelham, NH; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Rene, Emile, Raymond, Roderick, Ronald and Franklin Bedard, Rena Cayer, Lorraine Bergeron, Germaine McConnachie, Simone Greenwood and Gertrude Dionne.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated Friday morning December 17, 2021, at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM at 10 o’clock followed by his burial at the Gibson Cemetery in Pelham. E-condolences/directions at www.pelhamfuneralhome.com.
