Barbara A. (Newell) Brodeur

Barbara A. (Newell) (Hoey) (Lemieux) Brodeur, 84, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 2, 2023 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH.

 Born in Dracut, Massachusetts, August 12, 1938, the daughter of the late Daniel W. Newell and the late Mildred (Moran) Newell, she received her education through the Lowell School system.  Barbara was raised in Lowell, MA and one of 13 siblings. Prior to her retirement, Barbara worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Lowell General Hospital for over 10 years. She also resided in Fort Meyers, FL where she worked at Southwest Regional Medical Center and as a CNA for over 20 years. Barbara had a love for music and singing, crocheting, painting figurines, going on cruises, horror movies, UFC, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan but most of all the love of her heart was her family and grandchildren.

 She is survived by three daughters: Barbara A. Hoey, Sherry L. Hallenborg, and Charmaine Lemieux-Pintal and her husband Eric Pintal; two sons Gary P. Hoey and his wife Nicole and Robert J. Hoey and his wife Michelle; a son-in-law Lawrence Kanan; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a step-daughter Janice Brodeur; a step-son Bradford Brodeur and his wife Kathleen; one sister Patricia McKenzie; one brother Dennis Newell and his wife Janet; one step great-grandson; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 Barbara, was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward J. Brodeur, daughter Michele A. Kanan, grandmother to the late Corey J. Lemieux and Christine A. Hoey, and her siblings; her twin, Bradford “Barney” Newell, Mary Rose Newell, Dorothy Newell, Rita Newell, Mildred Dyer, Shirley Wilson, Harold Newell, Daniel Newell, Donald Newell, John Newell.
