Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt;
Barbara C. (Landry) Smith, 82, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua.
She was the loving wife for over 60 years of Robert T. Smith, who survives her.
Born in Medford, MA, on February 11, 1943, to the late Thurber and the late Dorothy (Richardson) Landry, she attended Woburn, MA, schools and graduated from Woburn High School in the class of 1961.
Barbara worked at Market Basket in Salem, NH, as a cashier for over 40 years until her retirement. Previously, she worked as an inventory control clerk at ER Squibb & Sons, now known as Bristol Myers Squibb, a pharmaceutical company.
She was an active member of Crossroads Church in Pelham, NH, and loved animals, especially rescuing them. Most of all, however, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Barbara is survived by two sons, David A. Smith and his wife Erin of Salem, NH, and Edward R. Smith of Inverness, FL; four grandchildren, Shawn Smith and his wife Kayla of Wildwood FL, Cindy Lou Chirico and her husband Timothy of Dracut, MA, Steven Smith and his partner Julia Walker of Fruitland, FL, and Cameron Smith of Salem, NH; six great grandchildren, Maxwell, EJ, Mary Ella, and Ezra Smith of Wildwood, FL, and Esmae and Ava Smith of Fruitland, FL; a brother, Philip Landry and his wife Virginia of Heathsville, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
