Carol A. Gautreau
Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt;
Carol A. (McIntire) Gautreau, age 89, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife for 60 years of Francis G. Gautreau, who predeceased her in 2021.
Born in Lynn, MA, January 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Beatrice (Barrett) McIntire, she attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn.
Prior to her retirement, Carol owned and operated Carol’s Day Care in Pelham, NH. Carol worked in many different facilities caring for residents as an LNA.
In her spare time, she volunteered at Lazarus House Ministries in Lawrence, MA, assisting families and individuals with homelessness and food insecurity.
Carol’s life was defined by an enduring faith in God and a profound love for family. Carol enjoyed tending to her garden, was a talented quilter, and loved to bake. Carol was most content creating a warm home for her loved ones.
Carol is survived by three daughters, Marie B. Gautreau of Hudson, NH, Carol-Ann Gautreau of Hudson, NH, and Elizabeth E. Jussaume and her husband Real of Pelham, NH; two sons, Peter F. Gautreau of Chickaloon, AK, and Stephen G. Gautreau of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren, Jason Gautreau of Old Orchard Beach, ME, John Jussaume of Manchester, NH, William Jussaume of Pelham, NH, Philippe Jussaume of Pelham, NH, and Jacob Gautreau of Anchorage, AK; a great granddaughter, Abigail Gautreau of Nashua, NH; a sister, Lucille Civiello of Salem, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Margaret Sparks.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 26, 2026, at PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 7 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at ST. PATRICK CHURCH 12 MAIN ST. in PELHAM at 11 AM.
