Carol A. (Voigt) Hackett
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend
Carol A. (Voigt) Hackett, 88, of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She was the loving wife for over 60 years of George H. Hackett, whom survives her.
Born in Chicago, IL on September 19, 1936, to the late Warren and late Helen (May) Voigt, she was the second child after her sister Barbara.
Carol grew up in Methuen, MA and graduated from Tenney High School in Methuen in 1955. While there she became head majorette, leading the band in parades.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for a time at Western Electric and as a tester at Digital Equipment Corp. in Salem, NH.
Fun and joy were a big part of her life. Living in a beautiful waterfront home gave her a love of boating, swimming and sunsets. Other enjoyments included playing the lottery often and visiting various casinos. Her friends made over the years have remained friends throughout her life.
However, the most wonderful thing to her in this life was giving birth to four beautiful children, John, Warren, Michael and Maureen. As the years went by her love for them only grew as their love for her did. She will be missed.
Carol is survived by her husband George, her four children, John J. Hackett and wife Kim of Salem, NH, Warren M. Hackett and wife Laura of Plaistow, NH, Michael T. Hackett of Pelham, NH, and Maureen Gerry and husband Steven of Atkinson, NH, four grandchildren, Maiya, Ethan, and Cole Gerry of Atkinson, NH and Samantha Hackett of Plaistow, NH. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Catherine Cutter and husband Robert of Hollis, NH, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Clark and her husband James.
