Cathy F. ((St. Onge) (Masson)) Chatel

Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt;

Cathy F. (St. Onge) (Masson) Chatel, 66, of Pelham, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Monday May 5, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

She was the wife of the late Robert B. Chatel and the late Daniel R. Masson.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 16, 1959, the daughter of Rita J. (Bergeron) St. Onge and the late Henry P. St. Onge, she attended ST. Patrick Grammar School in Pelham.

Cathy was a graduate of Pelham High School Class of 1977 and went on to attend Middlesex Community College.

Currently, Cathy was a food service worker at the Pelham Memorial Middle School. Previously, she worked as a customer service representative for the Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union in Dracut.

Among her many interests, Cathy enjoyed cooking, gardening, birdwatching and yardwork. But her greatest joy was when she was with her family sitting around a campfire.

Besides her mother, Cathy is survived by two sons Tyler J. Masson and his wife Caitlin of Londonderry, NH and Jared D. Masson and his fiancée Jessica Gaylord of Pelham; a granddaughter Eleanor “Norah” Masson of Londonderry, NH; two sisters Diane B. Capps and her husband Thomas of Pelham and Linda L. Pace and her husband Robert of Pelham; a nephew Corey H. Pace of Pelham, a niece Sarah H. Capps; a stepson Matthew R. Chatel and his fiancée Dominique Conway of Shirley, MA.

She was also the aunt of the late Michael R. Pace and stepmother of the late Mark Chatel.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday May 12, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 7 P.M. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at ST.
