Celine A (D’Souza) Martin, age 89, of Methuen, MA, formerly of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at home where she lived with her daughter for the past 25 years in Methuen, MA.  She was the wife of the late Frank A Martin who died in 1997.

She was born in Mumbai, India on March 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Amelia (Noronha) D’Souza and was educated in the schools in India.

While living in India, she worked for over twenty five years as a secretary for the Medical Director of Sandoz Company.  Upon her arrival in America, Celine worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant for the former Stone and Webster Corporation in Boston. She then worked into her eighties as a sales associate at Macy’s in Salem, NH.  When home, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Celine is survived by her daughter, Cherinne and her husband Stephen Kerr of Methuen, her two sons, Kevin F. Martin and his wife Karen of Dracut, and Melvin Martin and his wife Sheila of Andover, seven grandchildren, Keith and his wife Danielle, Kristen and her husband Joseph, Kerri Ann and her husband Neil, Robert and his wife Rachel, Glen, Brendan and Dylan, six great grandchildren, Cole, Quinn, Drew, Tiago, Sasha and Olivia, a sister, Cressie Braganza and her husband Cyril of Tewksbury, sister in law of Ivy D’Souza of Chelmsford, Joan D’Souza of Natick, Ben and Zillah Martin of Australia and Donald and Hilda Martin of Canada, and many nieces and nephews.              

She was the sister of the late Claude D’Souza and Clarence D’Souza, and sister in law of the late Roland and Delia Martin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at ST. PATRICK CHURCH, 12 Main St., Pelham, NH at 11 o’clock.  Interment will follow at the Gibson Cemetery.
