Charles W. Hobbs, III

Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother;

Charles, W. Hobbs III, 74, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday April 22, 2022.

He was the loving husband of Brenda M. Souza, who passed away Friday February 19, 2021.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 29, 1947, the son of the late Charles W. and the late Charlotte (Koehler) Hobbs, Jr, he attended the Pelham public schools, and Alvrine High School.

Charles was the owner and operator of Hobbs Carburetor Shop in Pelham, NH, for over 42 years.

In addition, he was the former Deputy Fire Chief of the volunteer Pelham fire fighters.  

Charles also took great joy in owning, raising, and showing his Trakehner "breed" horses. He also enjoyed hunting and going on trips to Alaska.

Charles is survived by his three children; Heidi A. and her husband Kenneth Locke of Union, NH, Shawn P. Hobbs and his wife Cheryl of Pelham, NH, and Jason C. Hobbs and his wife Tammy of Mt. Vernon, NH; his nine grandchildren Tasha and her husband Casey O'Brien, Timothy and his wife Andrea Bergeron, Susan Hobbs and her fiance Gerard Stathopoulos, Laura and her husband John Ventresco, Travis Hobbs, Emily Bergeron, Cody Hobbs and his fiance Becca Francouer, Luke Bergeron, and Taylor Hobbs and his wife Lauren; Three great grandchildren Shelby, Paisley, and Matteo; A sister Carla and her husband Bob Bordeleau of Hampton, NH, and a brother Robert G. and his wife Cindy Hobbs of Pelham, NH, many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday April 28, 2022, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service to be celebrated Friday morning April 29, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at the Gibson Cemetery.
