Beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Cheryl Elsa (Swanson) Koch, 77, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the loving wife of the late Richard Wilber Koch, who died on July 21st of this year.
Born in Winchester, MA, December 2, 1947, the daughter of the late Roger P. and the late Mary (Dodge) Swanson, she attended Lexington schools and was a graduate of Lexington High School class of 1965.
Prior to being a homemaker, Cheryl worked as a secretary at the Polaroid Corporation where she met her beloved husband, Richard Wilber Koch. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Pelham for over 50 years where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and playing the bells. She also loved leading Women’s Fellowship, as well as serving as a Deacon and being apart of the Care Givers group. Her favorite place to visit was Popham Beach, Maine, which she called “Heaven on Earth”, where she loved finding sand dollars and shells with her grandchildren. This is a special spot of remembrance for the family.
Cheryl is survived by a son Ian Robinson and his wife Kimberly of Gardner, NC; two daughters Melanie J. Surprenant and her husband Kenneth of Pelham, NH and Harmony D. Campbell and her husband Jason of Hudson, NH; a stepdaughter Kimberly B. Vensel and her late husband Richard “Rick" of Carlisle, PA; nine grandchildren Andrew, Abigail, and Rebeccah Vensel, Kendra and Kyle Surprenant, Alyia and Alija Robinson, Gavin and Evelyn “Evie" Campbell; three sisters Kristen McCuaig of Watertown, NY, Pamela Denny and her husband John and Alison Ardinger and her husband Kirk, all of Okeechobee, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call for her Memorial Visitation on Monday December 16, 2024, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA ROAD in PELHAM, NH from 4 PM to 7 PM. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF PELHAM 3 MAIN STREET in PELHAM, NH at 11 AM (please meet at church) followed by a luncheon at the church.
