Beloved mother, grandmother and sister;
Claudia A. (Outlaw) Gwin, R.N., 73, of Mokena, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 24, 2025, while visiting her family for the holidays.
Born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, October 29, 1952, the daughter of the late Claude and the late Mary Y. (Dobbs) Outlaw, she was a graduate of Bloom Township High School in the Class of 1970.
Claudia went on to receive her Bachelor of Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington, IN.
Prior to her retirement, Claudia, with her nursing background, worked as a Case Manager for Anthem, a division of Blue Cross and Blue Shield for many years.
Claudia loved traveling with family and friends, reading and music. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Passionate about Indiana sports teams, she was also a devoted Ole Miss fan, a proud supporter of women’s athletics, and an avid lover of tennis.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly B. Fleming and her husband Joseph of Windham, NH; her son Neal A. Gwin of Bloomington, IN; five grandchildren Taylor Y. Gwin, Olivia F. Fleming, Evan J. Fleming, Aiden M. Gwin and Hailey S. Gwin; her sister Teri L. Reimel and her husband Keith of Mokena, IL; a niece Alison Boyer and her husband Travis; a nephew Brian Reimel and his wife Sarah.
