David Avery, Jr.
Loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend;
David Avery, Jr. 51, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday April 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones after a brief, but brave battle with colon cancer.
He was the former husband to his beloved wife and "best friend" Debra Berube (Avery) of Tewksbury, MA.
Born in Laconia, NH, on July 14, 1971, the son of David Avery, Sr. of Laconia, NH, who survives him, and the late Sandra (Caldwell) Avery, he attended Laconia Schools and was a graduate of Laconia High School in the class of 1991.
Prior to his retirement, David was a Fire Dispatcher with the Hudson, NH Fire Department. Previously, he served as an On Call Fire Fighter at the Pelham Fire Department for 20 years.
Among his interests, David was considered a fire buff and enjoyed all things related to firefighting, including fire photography, and was a collector of Fire memorabilia.
He also loved spending time with his family, especially his children.
Besides his former wife and best friend Debra, and his father, David is survived by a daughter: Maegan M. Avery of Tewksbury, MA; a son Matthew D. Avery of Tewksbury, MA; two sisters Janis Chapman and her husband Christopher of Moultonborough, NH, Kimberly Clifford and her husband Aaron of Berwick, Maine; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his visitation at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM on Monday April 24, 2023. At the family's request there will be a Fire Fighter only visitation from 9:30 A.M - 10:00 A.M. followed by public visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 12:15 P.M.
