David G. Collins

Beloved husband and father;

David G. Collins, 87, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Monday May 8, 2023, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson, New Hampshire.

Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, on June 11, 1935, the son of the late Frank J. and the late Elsiemae (Lowande) Collins, he attended Medford schools and was a graduate of Medford high school in the class of 1954.

A veteran of the U.S. Army - Military Police, David proudly served his country overseas in Berlin Germany, during the Cold War era. He often talked about the German culture and how he had enjoyed the people, friends, and his experiences there.

David was a pioneer of printed circuit board technology and prior to his retirement, he worked as the General Manager for Electro Circuits in Lowell, MA. His dedication and work ethic over his long career were a model to his children who became successful in their work because of his example.

Among his many interests, David enjoyed deep sea fishing, gardening, target shooting, photography, and the love of his dogs, among others. He was a car enthusiast as well and loved to take long drives in his 1973 Corvette out to the beach and along the coastline, sometimes with his 10yr old daughter Debbie, who loved to go with him. He also owned many other great cars over the years including a 1966 Toronado, 1948 Lincoln Continental and a supercharged Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. All of his hobbies and interests he shared unselfishly with his family who will continue to enjoy them and who will lovingly remember him always as they take a photo, plant a tomato plant in the garden or take a long drive along the coastline at the beach.

David is survived by his wife Lillian M. (Guastaferro) Collins of Pelham, NH; a daughter Deborah M. Collins-Costa and her husband John of Pelham, NH; a son David G. Collins, Jr. and his wife Pam of Windham, NH.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday May 13, 2023 at ST. PATRICK CHURCH, 12 Main St., in Pelham, NH, at 10 o'clock.
