David W. Hunt
Retired longtime School Teacher Salem, NH;
David W. Hunt, 76, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.
Born in Beverly, Massachusetts, December 25, 1944, the son of the late Wallace and the late Barbara (Larrabee) Hunt, he attended Beverly schools and was a graduate of Beverly High School. He went on to graduate from Salem State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.
Prior to his retirement, David was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years, most recently at Woodbury Middle School in Salem, NH.
David enjoyed canoeing, fishing, woodworking, playing the guitar, reading and was a loyal Boston sports fan, especially the Bruins. However, his greatest joy was when he was with his family.
David is survived by a daughter, Amy C. Breault, Esq. and her husband Jared of Pelham, NH; a son David W. Hunt, Jr. and his wife Alyssa of Windham, NH; five granddaughters Addison, Alexis, Navy, Haven and Leighton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM, NH on Wednesday May 12, 2021 from 10 to 11:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M. (All state required social distancing procedures will be observed including the wearing of masks upon entrance into the funeral home.) Committal Services will be private.
