DENNIS W. DOHERTY

Dennis W. Doherty, 76, a resident of Londonderry, NH., died Thursday morning March 7, at his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of Marie I. (Sutcliffe) Doherty who survives him.

Born in Boston, MA., on October 14, 1942, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Mary E. (Eliot) Doherty.  Dennis received his education in the Boston schools and was a 1964 graduate of Boston English High.

Until his retirement Dennis was a Project Manager for Mellon Bank in Everett, MA.

Dennis was an avid fisherman and loved deep sea fishing at Booth Bay Harbor in Maine, especially for small mouth bass.  He also enjoyed tinkering in his workshop at home woodworking, making many different household items.

In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by a son, Dennis J. Doherty and his wife Sharleen of Shrewsbury, MA.; a daughter, Angela M. Gray of Plymouth, MA.; a step-son, Robert J. Santos and his wife Joan of Derry, NH.; a brother, Charles Doherty of Arizona; a sister, Marjorie Harris of Walpole, MA.; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Dennis was the father of the late step-daughter, Carolanne (Santos) Dawley-Laurel and brother of the late Virginia Shaw.
