Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend;

Donald J. “Don” Viera, 67, of Pelham, New Hampshire died Tuesday January 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was the loving husband of Marie A. (Caron) Viera, who survives him.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 8, 1953, the son of the late Donald G. and the late Jeanne (McCauley) Viera, he was a graduate of Alvrine High School in the Class of 1972. Don went on to receive his Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Middlesex Community College.

Prior to his retirement, Don was a Senior Electronic Technician with Draeger Medical in North Andover.

A man of many talents, Don loved music, especially rock and roll, and growing up was the lead guitarist and vocalist with the band Awaken. He was a hand’s on kind of guy that liked to tinker and could fix just about anything.

Don owned a Harley Davidson bike and enjoyed riding with family and friends through the years. He was well like by many and will be deeply missed by those who knew him best.

Besides his wife Marie, Don is survived a son Beau M. Viera of Pelham; a daughter Lindsey M. Viera of Pelham; a brother David D. Viera and his wife Ann Pendergast of Pelham; three sisters Carlene A. Tessier and her husband David of Hudson, NH, Lori J. Shapard and her husband William of Laverne, TN and Lisa M. Viera of Salem, NH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He also leaves behind his best friends Jeff Husson of Pelham and Claude Ledger of Nashua.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday January 7, 2021 at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 6 to 8 P.M. Due to gathering restrictions, his Funeral Services will be private. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather safely.
