Edmond “Ed” Bisson, 74, of Windham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Derry, New Hampshire surrounded by his loving family.
Ed was a beloved Father, Pepere, Brother, Uncle, and Partner.
Born in Lowell, MA, he was a son of the late Maurice and Merilda (Vaillancourt) Bisson.
Ed was raised in Pelham and was a graduate of Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH. Ed was a veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
His family originally founded and operated Pelham Hardware & Supply, where he worked for many years and that store became a staple in the community. Ed went on to pursue a career in Real Estate, where he became a broker/owner with REMAX in Pelham for almost three decades. He then co-founded Bisson-Castles Realty Group in Pelham, NH, where he was currently still working. He had an unwavering passion and determination for his work, which was his greatest pride.
Throughout his life, Ed enjoyed many hobbies, which led to many lifelong friendships, such as playing softball, pool, bowling, boating and fishing. He was a car enthusiast, owning over 100 different kinds of vehicles, his favorites being the fast and fancy ones.
21 years ago, after his first cancer diagnosis, Ed’s perseverance and desire to live, was an inspiration to us all. His legacy as a hard-working, respected, kind and honest man will always live on in our hearts.
Edmond is survived by his loving partner, Cathy Koumpouras of Windham, NH. His two loving daughters, Amy Rodriguez and her husband Victor, and Jennifer Castles and her husband Shawn, all of Pelham, NH. His four grandchildren, who adored him and especially loved his Sunday morning visits that always included donuts: Emily and Shawn Jr. Castles, Sophia and Evan Rodriguez. His former spouse, Nina (Maglio) Bisson. Three siblings, Richard Bisson and his wife Martha of Deerfield, NH, Theresa Giadone and her husband Phil of Dracut, MA, and Denise Marchionda of Nashua, NH; a sister-in-law, Cindy Bisson of Londonderry, NH; many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Michael Bisson.
Relatives and friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 11 NASHUA RD. Pelham, NH on Monday, November 11, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Church, Pelham, NH at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
