Edward W. Hurrell
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather
Edward W. “Ed” Hurrell, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest on May 13, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital.
He was the loving husband for over 56 years of Phyllis M. (Solaqua) Hurrell, who survives him.
Born in Lawrence, MA, Ed was the son of the late Victor and Doris (Gagne) Hurrell. He attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1962.
Ed worked at Malden Mills for 36 years, then he started his own business in 1992. He was the owner and operator of Ed’s Stump Grinding for over 30 years.
In his spare time, Ed loved to go hunting and was a member of the Pelham Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed hunting as a child and passed on his love of hunting to his family.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by three children, Mark E. Hurrell of Windham, NH, Christine M. Walrath and her future husband Andy Olsen of Anchorage, AK, and Rachel A. Delaney and her husband Herb of Concord, NH; nine grandchildren, Eric Hurrell, twins Jack and Ryan Hurrell, Cameron and Ian Burdin, and Sydney, Michael, Liam, and Kevin Delaney. He will be missed by many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Bob Hurrell.
Relatives and friends may call for his memorial visitation Monday morning, May 20, 2024, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M.
