Elaine R. (Robinson) Hornbeck, R.N.

Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister;

Elaine R. (Robinson) Hornbeck, R.N., 89/90, formerly of Pelham, NH but recently of Salem Woods in Salem, NH, passed away on Saturday January 18, 2025 the day before her 90th birthday, at Lawrence General Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald W. Hornbeck who died in 2018.

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, January 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Howard and the late Kathleen (Merritt) Robinson, she attended Wakefield schools and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1953. She continued her education at Salem Hospital School of Nursing.where she attained her license as a Registered Nurse.

Prior to her retirement, Elaine worked as a surgical nurse at Lowell General Hospital and in later years was a substitute school nurse in Pelham and Windham.

A lifetime member of Girl Scouting, Elaine was also a former Library Trustee  in Pelham and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Lowell General Hospital. In recent years she was a Resident Ambassador of Salem Woods Assisted Living.

Elaine is survived by her daughter Suzan E. Hornbeck of York, ME; her daughter-in-law Suzanne R. Hornbeck of Bear, DE; five grandchildren Nicholas W. Hornbeck of Bear, DE, Rebekah E. Wetzel of Bear, DE, Brianna L. Bundy of Dayton, ME, Hunter R. Bundy of York, ME and Madison L Hornbeck of Saco, ME; five great grandchildren Jake A. Hornbeck, Carter J. Wetzel, Mila G. Daigle, Carson P. Wetzel and Declan D. Daigle; a brother Howard B. Robinson, Jr. of Amherst, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Brian M. Hornbeck who died November 2, 2024.

Friends may call for a Memorial Visitation on Friday February 7, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 5 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH of PELHAM on Saturday February 8, 2025, at 11:00 o'clock. (Please meet at Church).
