Eleanor L. (Craig) Childs
Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister
Eleanor L. (Craig) Childs, 94, formerly of Somerville, MA, Pelham, NH, and most recently of Londonderry, NH passed away peacefully on Friday January 17, 2025, at the Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Merrimac, MA, August 19, 1930, the daughter of the late Henry L. and the late Ruth M. (Heath) Craig, she attended Merrimac schools and was a graduate of Merrimac High School in the Class of 1948.
Eleanor was a devoted mother and is survived by her children Debra L. Gallagher and her companion Peter Karpowicz of Malden, MA, Cynthia V. Barker and her husband Charles of Merrimack, NH, Kathi R. Choo of Fountain Hills, AZ., Bonnie R. Griffin of Somerville, MA/ Buffalo, NY., Scott C. Childs and his wife Jayne of Malden, MA, Julie H. Faust and her husband Scott of Londonderry NH. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan F. Childs.
She was a loving grandmother to Kerry, Erin, Christopher, Kasey, Dylan & Hilary and a special Gigi to many.
She is also survived by her brother Henry Craig, his fiancé Linda Brown of Exeter, NH, her brother-in-law William Fanning of Beverly, MA and many nieces & nephews.
She was also predeceased by her sisters Ruth Greco, Joyce Huntress, Phyllis Fanning, Shirley Jones and Bernice Ordway
Eleanor worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts & Somerville Hospital.
She was a member of the Pelham Senior Citizens. She loved to travel with family & friends.
Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday January 22, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Funeral Service immediately following.
