Eva J. (Hamelin) Bedard
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend;
Eva J. (Hamelin) Bedard, 84, of Pelham, New Hampshire, peacefully passed away on Friday March 24, 2023, at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts.
She was the loving wife of the late Raymond R. Bedard who died June 21, 2020.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, February 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Raymond and the late Olga (Bagdon) Hamelin, she attended Billerica schools and was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School in the class of 1956.
Prior to her retirement, Eva was employed with Raytheon in Bedford, MA, as an Administrative Secretary, this is where she met her husband, Raymond R. "Dick" Bedard. She later worked as an Administrative Library Secretary for Pelham High School in NH for 24 years upon retiring.
Among her many interests, she enjoyed travels around the globe with her mom also with Dick and Stephen, business trips with her daughter Elaine and then later with her grand boys and son in-law David. She was most happy when she was cooking for her family, trying new and surprising recipes she shared with friends and neighbors. She enjoyed exercising at the Hobbs Community Center in Pelham, knitting, reading, fishing, and crossword puzzles in her spare time.
Eva is survived by a son: Stephen R. of Weare, NH; a daughter Elaine G. (Bedard) Screnci and her husband David Sr. of Salem, NH; two cherished grandchildren, David J. and John R. Screnci of Salem, NH; sister-in-law Brenda Hamelin of Hudson, NH; niece Jennifer Cebrero of Hudson, NH; she is also survived by many cousins and her very dear friend Gail Vinciguerra of Bedford, NH.
She was the sister of the late Raymond G. Hamelin Jr.
Relative and Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass that will be celebrated Friday morning March 31, 2023, at ST. PATRICK CHURCH, 12 Main St., in Pelham, NH, at 10 o’clock.
