Felice “Felix” DiPrizio, age 86, of Somerville, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday August 1, 2021, after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 28, 1935, in Montefalcione, Italy, Felix was the son of the late Angelo and the late Teresa (Barile) DiPrizio.

In 1950, when Felix was 15, he made the move to the North End in Boston, MA with his parents and two brothers, Luigi “Geno” and Carlo. Thirteen years later in 1963 Felix bought a two-family home in Somerville, MA with his brother Geno and his wife Italia, where he raised his three wonderful boys, Angelo, Vincenzo and David. He was a loving partner, father, and Nonno to his six grandchildren; he loved to make them happy.

A hard worker, Felix was a tailor for the Kennedy Department Store of Macy’s in Boston, MA and then retired after 29 years with Anderson Little Tailor Company in Medford, MA. He had the sweetest, most contagious laugh that kept everyone in the room smiling.

In his spare time, Felix enjoyed giving to charity and spending time in the sun and warmth of Punta Gorda, Florida, where he lived with his partner Maria for two years talking to the neighbors; everyone liked to joke and call him “The Mayor”.

Felix and Maria also enjoyed dancing and traveling. However, he loved nothing more than to spend time with his family while sipping on some Vino, preferably his favorite, Fortissimo. He would do anything for his three boys.

Known as a “good guy” who loved to help others and make people happy, he was always there to lend a hand to anybody in need. With a great sense of humor, he enjoyed making people laugh, mostly by laughing at them.

Felix will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, generosity and his compassion and will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was the beloved partner of 35 years to Maria Carrocino, devoted father of Angelo DiPrizio and wife Diane of Medford, MA, Vincenzo DiPrizio & wife Laura of Pelham, NH and David DiPrizio and wife Kim of Pelham, NH. Loving Nonno of Brittany, Bobby, Victoria, Lauren, Steven and Matthew. Dear brother of Maria, Genaro, Carlo and Luigi DiPrizio. Felix is also survived by many nieces and nephews and the Carrocino sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
