Francis G. Gautreau
Beloved husband. father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend;
Francis G. Gautreau, 88, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday March 16, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Carol A. (McIntire) Gautreau, who survives him.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, July 19, 1932, the son of the late Martial and the late Elizabeth (Bourgeois) Gautreau, he attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of Lynn High School. He went on to attend Northeastern University and Lowell Technological Institute.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Frank proudly served his country as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and later the Reserves.
A self-employed carpenter, Frank was a member of the New England Carpenter’s Union Local 33 of Boston for over 30 plus years. Previously, he worked at General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts.    
Active in his community, Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society of his parish and served as a Coach in Pop Warner Football. He was also a longtime volunteer with the Lazarus House in Lawrence.
All about family, he also enjoyed sports, especially football, and loved the game of cribbage. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting.
Besides his wife Carol, Frank is survived by three daughters Marie B. Gautreau of Hudson, NH, Carol Ann Gautreau of Hudson, NH and Elizabeth E. Jussaume and her husband Real of Pelham; two sons Peter F. Gautreau of Chickaloon, AK and Stephen G. Gautreau of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren Jason R. Gautreau of Warner, NH, John M. Jussaume, William J. Jussaume, Phillippe B. Jussaume all of Pelham, NH and Jacob G. Gautreau of Anchorage,AK; a great granddaughter Abigail R. Gautreau; a sister Jeannette Bernard and her husband William of Cleveland, OH; two brother-in-laws Ivan Richards and George Lizotte; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Doreen Richards and the late Norma Lizotte.
Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday March 22, 2021. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM at 10 o’clock. Committal Services will be held privately for the family at a later date. E-condolences/directions at www.pelhamfuneralhome.com.
