Gargi (Namboodiri) Das

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister;

Gargi (Namboodiri) Das, 64, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

She was the beloved wife of Siddhartha Das of Pelham, NH, who survives her.

Born in Calcutta, India, August 13, 1959, the daughter of the late VPN and the late Keya (Ghosh) Namboodiri, she received her education at the Loreto House, and Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College both in Calcutta, India, and later attended UMASS Lowell, gaining her bachelor’s in education.

Gargi owned, operated, and taught at Evergreen Montessori House in Dracut, MA, from 1993 until her passing.   

Amongst her many interests, Gargi enjoyed cooking and eating and was also known as a “Foodie.” She loved dogs, reading, going to the beach and being outdoors.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Mrinmoyee N. Das and her husband Amir Ghorashi of Londonderry, NH, Mrinalinee N. Das of Pelham, NH; a granddaughter Arya B. Ghorashi of Londonderry, NH; she is also survived by a brother Udayan Namboodiri of Kolkata, India.

Services will be held privately for the family; details for a Celebration of Life forth coming. QE-condolences/directions at http://www.pelhamfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Saint Jude’s Foundation, an organization she contributed to throughout her life.
