George Kader Squires, Sr.

George Kader Squires, Sr., 94, of Pelham, NH passed away on October 27, 2022, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts after an extended illness.

He was the loving husband of the late Betty June (Parkerson) Squires who died in 1998.

Born in Medford, Massachusetts, May 22, 1928, the son of the late Fredrick J. and the late Selena (Robbins) Squires, he was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Billerica, MA.

A veteran of WW II and the Korean War, George proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp for over 12 years.

For most of his career, George was a Service Manager and auto mechanic for Gladstone Ford in Londonderry, NH where he worked for over 20 years.

A true family man, George loved being with his family, gardening, working on cars and helping others.

A lifetime member of the Pelham VFW, he also was a 32 Degree Master Mason with the John Abbott Lodge and was also a Shriner.

One of the highlights of his life was when he participated in the WWII Honors Flight Program to Washington, DC with other veterans.

George is survived by two daughters Deborah Thorpe and her husband William of Nashua, NH and Cathy Squires of Lowell; a son George K. Squires, Jr. and his companion Julie Sheehan of Pelham, NH; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters Marjorie Lazarus of Tucson, AZ and Barbara Jones of Billerica, MA; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Bridget-2.

He was the father of the late Susan G. Picard and brother of the late Frederick J. Squires, Jr.

Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM on Wednesday November 2, 2022, from 4 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held Thursday morning at ST. ANNE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH in BILLERICA, MA at 10 o'clock. (Please meet at church).
