Joyce M. Read

Loving mother, sister, aunt and friend;

 Joyce M. (Levesque) Read, 73, of Manchester, New Hampshire, died Thursday evening at Elliott Hospital in Manchester after a brief illness.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon N. Read.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 29, 1948, the daughter of the late Raymond and the late Pauline (Daigle) Levesque, she attended Ste. Jeanne D'Arc Grammar school and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School for Girls in Lowell.Prior to her retirement, Joyce was a secretary for Pierce Transportation in Dracut, Massachusetts for many years. Previously, she worked for Gil Lamb Insurance.

 Among her many interests, Joyce loved to read. shop QVC, eat Chinese food but her greatest joy was when she was with her family. She is survived by her son Joseph R. Canello and his wife Kristy of Londonderry, NH; three sisters Jill Charbonneau and her husband Paul of Dracut, Cynthia Joyce Gray of Dracut and Elizabeth Buell of Nashua, NH; three brothers Raymond Levesque and his longtime partner Pauline Michaud of Chester, NH, Steven J. Levesque and his wife Candace of Lowell and Toby E. Levesque of Hudson, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her best friend Kathy Kennedy of Manchester, NH.

Joyce was also the sister of the late Jeffrey Levesque.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Visitation to be held Thursday August 5, 2021 at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 6 P.M.
