Kelly A. Spinney
Beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend;
Kelly A. Spinney, age 42, passed away peacefully at home on July 11. A lifelong resident of Pelham, she attended Pelham public schools. She had many friends in addition to her loving family.
A long-time honorary member of the Red Hat Society of Methuen, MA, Kelly attended many functions with them over the years and made many, many friends. She was a people-person who loved any activity where there was lively conversation, music, and laughter. She enjoyed watching her nephews grow up and was happiest in the midst of any good-natured chaos. Her offbeat sense of humor had a way of mirroring back to those around her how ridiculous they often were.
Kelly gave a listening ear to anyone who needed to talk. She was the keeper of everyone’s secrets and a trustworthy ally. She enjoyed outings to the theater, the ocean, and anywhere really good ice cream was served. She especially enjoyed being an honorary member of Oliver’s family and spent countless hours with them at their family’s gatherings and celebrations. Oliver’s favorite seat in the house was on Kelly’s lap, and she loved it.
She was supported her entire life by a loving, caring group of women who she loved. Each of them gave of their time and talents generously and quickly became members of Kelly’s family as well. Many, many thanks to Karen, with Kelly since her school days; to Judi, who became her “Hallmark movie” buddy and with whom she enjoyed the joy of reading; to Lydia, the newest member of “Team-Kelly” who she really enjoyed spending time with; and to Nicki. Kelly’s “other Mom,” who helped Kelly live a joyous life of equity and bliss. Kelly lived a very good life. She lived in comfortable surroundings in her home with people she loved and who loved her. Her life was very, very full.
Kelly is survived by her mother Cathy Spinney of Pelham, NH; her father James (Bud) Spinney of Windham, NH; her brother Brian and his wife Tiffany Spinney of Derry, NH; her brother Dan Spinney of Pelham, NH; her Uncle Wally and Aunt Marjie Bristol of Wilmington, MA; and her cousins Jason, Emily and Hannah Bristol of Billerica, MA. and her nephews Caleb Baronet and Brison Spinney of Derry, NH and Dakota D’Amico-Spinney of Derry, NH.
