Kenneth George Found, 84, of Pelham, NH and Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9th at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla Jean (Lanni) Found who died September 29, 2013.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, September 18, 1937, the son of the late Arnold and the late Evelyn (Himber) Found, he attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the Class of 1956.
Kenneth proudly served his country right out of high school during the Vietnam Conflict with the U.S. Naval Reserves.
Kenneth worked as a bartender for most of his life, first at Stadium Lanes in Lawrence until it closed. It was there he met his life partner Priscilla Lanni. “I stole his hat and he stole my heart”. He also tended bar at the Oasis Restaurant and Pine Valley Golf Links both in Pelham. Before retiring, he was employed as a receiver for Hannaford Supermarket in Pelham for 3 years and previously at Victory Supermarket in Pelham and Derry for 10 years.
Ken loved to golf. He aced the 9th hole at Pine Valley on September 7, 1965. He would always be seen wearing a baseball cap and his love of sports decorated his wardrobe. Ken and Cil used to spend every Friday and Saturday nights at the Lo Kai in Dracut where they always had a table reserved for them. He was also a longtime member of the American Legion Post 100 in Pelham.
Kenneth is survived by three sons Paul Found Gattanella and his wife Hannah Long of Fort Collins, CO, Scott C. Found and his wife Melissa (Dumont) of Richmond Hill, GA and Marc A. Found of Pelham, NH; three granddaughters Gabriella, Isabella and Abby; a niece Sherri Lanni of Woburn, MA; his current sweetheart Cindy Giovanazzo of Port St. Lucie, FL; and his former wife Joanne Gattanella of Lawrence, MA.
