Kenneth P. “Ken” Dunne
Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend;
Kenneth P. “Ken" Dunne, 53, a widely known resident of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully Monday July 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the loving husband of Maryalice (Ward) Dunne with whom he recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary, who survives him.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, October 17, 1966, a son of Charles L. Dunne and the late Phyllis T. (Murphy) Dunne, he attended Medford schools and was a graduate of Medford High School Class of 1985.
Ken continued his education at U/Mass Boston where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1992.
Ken worked in career services with Construction Training LLC in Brentwood, NH. Previously, he was a staffing recruiting for Microtech Professionals in Waltham, MA.
Active with his church, his town and community, Ken was a former member of the Parish Council for St. Patrick Church as well as a lector and member of the Men’s group. He was a former member of the Town of Pelham Budget Committee, served as a school district moderator and was a former Vice-Chairman of the Pelham Capital Improvement Plan.
In addition, Ken served as a Senior Vice Commander of the Sons of the Pelham American Legion Post 100, was a former member and Exalted Ruler of the Elks BPOE 915 in Medford, MA and was a former troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
Among his many interests, Ken enjoyed camping, cooking, watching cooking shows, socializing and always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. However, his greatest joy was when he was with his family, especially his children.
Besides his wife and father, Ken is survived by three children, a son Patrick P. Dunne, a son Colin K. Dunne and his twin sister Erin E. Dunne all of Pelham; a sister Denise T. Fushi and her husband Robert of Sudbury, MA; three brothers Charles T. Dunne and his wife Carol of Methuen, Daniel J. Dunne and his wife Jennifer of Salem, NH and Lawrence J. Dunne of Melrose; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Steven Dunne.
Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours to be held Thursday evening July 9, 2020 at the PELHAM FUNERALHOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 8 P.M. (All state required social distancing procedures will be observed including the wearing of masks upon entrance into the funeral home.). Funeral Services will be private for the family.
