Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt
Lisa S. (Holt) Cheney, 66, of Pelham, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 9th at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Raymond L. Cheney, Jr. who survives her.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, September 15, 1953, the daughter of Corine (Donnelly) Holt of Plaistow, NH and the late Milton P. Holt, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1971. Eager to pursue a career in education, she then went on to graduate from Lowell State Teacher’s College.
After college, Lisa taught in the Lowell school system.
Among her many activities, such as playing with her pets, Belle and Pooky, her all-time favorite was solving crossword puzzles. First and fore most however, she absolutely loved being in the company of her family.
In addition to her husband and mother, Lisa is survived by two daughters Alyssa A. Cece and her husband Ozcan of Port Charlotte, FL and Cynthia C. Cheney of Lowell, MA; a stepdaughter Tyla A. Cheney of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren Serena R. and Sophia C. Reitano; a brother John Holt and his wife Patricia of Plaistow, NH; and two nephews Jason and Eric Holt.
In light of current federal and state restrictions, all services were held privately. A Celebration of Life Service for Lisa will be held at a later date to be announced.
