Louise (Donaruma) Purcell
Louise (Donaruma) Purcell, born in Dracut, Ma. Sept 26th, 1931, passed away peacefully on June 6th, 2023, at the age of 91. She was affectionately known by many names to her family and friends (Mom, sister, Mimi, Gram Lulu, Weezie, and Mrs. P). She lived in Pelham, NH for over 65 years and was an active member of the community.
She loved her grandchildren and showed her devotion by always taking their side in any argument and attending every sporting event, dance recital, and graduation. Louise loved her tea and cookies and firmly believed no day was complete without them. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, but she decorated for every holiday with enthusiasm. She loved her picture taken, wearing hats, the beach, reading, the power of relaxation, and St. Jude.
She owned The Sparkling Touch, a cleaning business, where she generously employed many of her family members. She leaves behind a large family who will miss her “Mimi-isms”, consistent presence, and caring ways. We say goodbye remembering all the love and laughter, all the candy and warm hugs, and all the moments we will never forget.
Louise is survived by four children: John J. Purcell and his wife Emily of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Deborah A. Casey of Windham, NH, Christine E. Paquin and her husband Donald of Pelham, NH, and Joseph Gendron and his wife Lin Jun of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren Jared Purcell of Atlanta, GA, Heather Elman of Virginia Beach, VA, Brad Paquin of Pelham, NH, Casey Purcell of New York City, NY, Reid Paquin of Pelham, NH, Olivia Casey and her partner Brian Haight of Windham, NH, Todd Paquin of Smithfield, RI, and Alexander Casey of Windham, NH; three great grandchildren Kaylah Rose, Adam, and Alex; a sister Janet McGrath of Manchester, NH; she is also survived by two nieces Kim Lambourne of Pelham, NH and Kelly Lucken and her Husband Donald of Manchester, NH, and a nephew Jay McGrath and his partner Donna Lobsien of Deerfield, NH.
