Manuel R. Souza

Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend;

Manuel R. Souza, 89, of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell on Friday January 10, 2025.

He was the loving husband of the late Patricia F. (Zemetres) Souza who died in 2013.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, November 26, 1935, the son of the late John F. and the late Dorothy (Martin) Souza, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1953.

Manuel continued his education at Fitchburg State College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Science.

Manuel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, which earned him a National Defense Service Medal.

Prior to his retirement, Manuel was a scheduler for the Raytheon Corporation in Bedford, MA, where he worked for over 30 years.

An avid Boston sports fan, Manuel enjoyed playing golf, cards and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a former Pelham Little League Coach and was a member of the founding group which started Little League in Pelham. He also loved vacationing with his family.

Manuel is survived by two sons Mark S. Souza of Pelham and Kevin K. Souza and his wife Deborah of Manchester, NH; three grandchildren Nicole E. Ralph and her husband Andrew of Allentown, NH, Samantha E. Miller and her husband Tyler of Boscowan and Rachel J. Souza of Derry, NH; two great grandchildren Owen E. Miller and Sawyer R. Ralph; a sister Dorothy Kucek and her husband Walter of Dracut.

He was also the brother of the late Raymond Souza.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation to be held on Monday January 20, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 6 P.M.
