Mildred H. Steiner

Beloved mother and grandmother; 107 years old;

Mildred  H. (Hurtig) Steiner, 107, of Bedford, New Hampshire, but formerly of  Pelham, NH and New York City, passed away peacefully on Monday June 8, 2020 at the Bedford Nursing and Rehab Center in Bedford, New Hampshire.

She was the loving wife of the late Gerard R. Steiner who died May 28, 1981.

Born in New York City, November 25, 1912, a daughter of the late Albert J. and the late Otilda (Derzofy) Hurtig. Mildred attended New York schools and was a graduate of the Textile High School in NYC. Mildred went on to attend Copper Union College majoring in Art on a scholarship.

 Mildred was bookkeeper for Consolidated Edison in New York City for many years during the Depression before she married Gerard Steiner in 1936.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia L. Steiner of Naples, FL; two  grand-daughters Jennifer A. Sprague of Pelham, NH and April E. Buchanan of Louisville, KY., four great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
