Richard F. Purtell

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend;

Richard F. "Rich" Purtell, 71, formerly of Lowell and Pelham, died unexpectedly Saturday November 19, 2022 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, New Hampshire, he was surrounded by his loving family.

He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Venezia) Purtell, who survives him.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 28, 1951, the son of the late Francis and the late Dorothy (Marshall) Purtell, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1967.

Richard was the former owner and operator of American Resources Staffing in Bedford, NH. He was also a founding member of TSE, The Staffing Exchange and was a Consultant for Wicked Staffing Solutions until his retirement.

Among his many enjoyments, Rich loved to golf and was a member of Manchester Country Club and the Veranda Club in Ft. Myer's FL. He enjoyed travel, sports and spending time in Florida with his wife and family.

Besides his wife, Rich is survived by two daughters Vicki L. Giuffre and her husband Joseph M. of Sandown, NH and Jodie D. Purtell and her partner Christopher Montmarquet of Dracut, MA; three step-children Brian M. Crowley and his wife Madeline of Milford, MA, James R. Stabile of Windham, NH and Victoria L. Bouvee and her husband Steven of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren Trevor J. Guiffre and Abigail Purtell; his uncle Jeffrey Vasconceles of Lowell; Many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his spoiled beloved dogs Zhara and Danny.

He was also the brother of the late Gail Purtell.

Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM on Monday November 28. 2022 from 3 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service Tuesday morning at the First Congregational Church of Pelham at 10 o'clock. Burial to follow at the New Plains Cemetery in Windham, NH.
