Robert E. Hayes
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle;
Robert E. Hayes, 93, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on March 4, 2025, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.
He was the loving husband for 22 years of Kathleen M. (Mitchell) Hayes, who survives him.
Born in Lowell, MA, on November 19, 1931, to the late Walter E. and the late Grace E. (Watson) Hayes, Robert attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1950.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Robert proudly served his country during the Korean War.
Robert worked as a purchasing agent for many years at Raytheon and later BAE systems, aerospace and defense companies.
Robert was a classic car collector in his spare time and loved taking his RV camping. He also loved his dogs, especially his Collie Griffin.
Besides his wife, Robert is survived by two daughters, Kimberly E. Magee and her fiancé Glenn McEnerney of Manchester, NH, and Jennifer L. Hayes and her fiancé Mark Dremann of Kennebunk, ME; four grandchildren, Logan P. Magee and his fiancée Casey McManus, Elizabeth Gendron and her husband Eric, Annie Hayes, and Katherine Coburn; three great grandchildren, Xander Gendron, Scarlett, and Noah Magee; two nephews, Robert W. and Valerie Hayes of Dallas, TX, and Richard C. and Diane Hayes of Central Square, NY; his mother-in-law, Donna A. Mitchell of Raymond, NH; his sister–in–laws, Sharon Mitchell and her husband Richard DeSisto of Raymond, NH, Jayne Mitchell and John Cardozo of Manchester, NH, and Jennifer and Francisco Santos of Litchfield, NH.
He was the brother of the late Muriel Haithwaite and the late Walter E. Hayes, Jr.
Friends may call on Monday March 10, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. Committal prayers will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham.
