Roland P. Paquette
Beloved partner, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother;
Roland P. Paquette, 94, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
He is survived by his partner of 11 years, Glennie Edwards of Pelham, NH.
Born in Worcester, MA, November 23, 1931, the son of the late Louis and the late Evelyn (Ledger) Paquette, he attended grammar schools in Swanzey, NH, and graduated from Swanzey High School in the Class of 1949
After high school, Roland joined the United States Air Force and honorably served his country during the Korean War.
For over 30 years, he worked as a field engineer for IBM in Andover, MA, and later he worked for Southwestern Bell.
Roland was a member of the New Liberty Jazz Band since 1980 and was a phenomenal banjo player. A jack of all trades, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
He is survived by two daughters, Marie Fortin of Mason, NH, and Kathryn Paquette of Bradford, NH; two sons, Paul R. Paquette and his wife Lucie of Rindge, NH, and Adam Paquette and his wife Tish of Pelham, NH; two sisters, Elaine Dean and her husband Kenneth of Fall River, MA, and Carol Bruce and her husband Dennis of Meza, AZ; seven grandchildren, Danielle Aho and her husband Scott, Stephen Fortin and his partner Wendy Maynard, Christian Paquette, Julie Paquette, Adam Paquette, Jr., Andrea Paquette, and Mary Paquette; and eleven great grandchildren.
He was the loving husband for over 61 years of Wanda M. Zack, who predeceased him in 2014.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD in PELHAM from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, December 31, at the First Congregational Church in Pelham at 10:00 AM. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
