Stephen V. Straughan

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin;

Stephen V. Straughan, 86, lifelong resident of Pelham, New Hampshire, and owner of Steve's Garage, passed away on Tuesday August 15, 2023, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, in Nashua, NH.

He was the loving husband of the late Joan M. (Morin) Straughan.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on April 7, 1937, the son of the late Jesse B. and the late Aurore R. (LaMarche) Straughan, he was a graduate of Dracut High School.

Stephen opened his own business Pelham in 1961, Steve’s Garage which he owned and operated for over 60 years. He was also a School Bus Driver and Volunteer Fire Fighter in Pelham for many years.

Among his many interests, Stephen enjoyed antique cars and engines, fishing, gardening, and scratch tickets.

Steve is survived by three daughters: Maureen G. Provencal and her husband Thomas of Pelham, NH, Linda T. Philbrook and her husband Thomas of Bow, NH, and Louanne J. Hall and her husband John of Derry, NH; a son Wiliam S. Straughan of Pelham, NH; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Bedard of Rye, NH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins. He is also survived by his belove pets, his Girl Cat, and his dog Jody.

Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM on Friday morning August 25, 2023, for a Memorial Visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M.
