Sylvia C. Lambert
Retired R.N. at former St. Joseph’s Hospital, Lowell;
Sylvia C. (Pennington) Lambert, R.N., 84, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at her home.
Born in Newport News, Virginia, April 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Edgar D. and the late Kathleen E. (Waldrop) Pennington.
Following graduation from Nursing school in Virginia, Sylvia was a Registered Nurse at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell, MA where she worked for many years.
Sylvia was a member of Pelham Baptist Church and later Crossroads Baptist Church. She volunteered in many ways to serve her church family and the community. Her nickname was "the coffee lady" because she was happy to show up early and start the coffee.
In addition to spending time with her family, she also enjoyed gardening, playing board games with her grandchildren and in her later years word search books.
Sylvia is survived by two daughters Kelly E. Morin of Dracut, MA and Virginia E. Lambert of Pelham, NH; a son Scott A. Lambert of Pelham, NH; and two grandchildren Paula Martin and her husband Andrew Martin and their son Devin Martin (her great grandson) and Andrew Morin; a sister Pamela Cherry of Williamsburg, VA; several nieces and nephews; and enjoyed a close relationship with her Jericho Road neighbors.
She also was predeceased by her son-in-law Steven Pestana and her two sisters Kathleen Garrett and Betty Jean Wilsted.
