Thomas L. Moulton
Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, fiancé and brother.
Thomas L. Moulton, 76, of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away December 26, 2024, surrounded by all of his children and the most very special people in his life.
He was the loving fiancé of Darlene Donovan, who survives him.
Born in Lowell, MA, on August 3, 1948, to the late Lawrence and the late Lena (Conlon) Moulton, Thomas attended schools in Dracut and graduated from Dracut High School Class of 1966. He continued his education at Lowell State Teacher’s College with a bachelor's degree in education and art.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, working at the Marine Safety Office in Boston, MA, before his initial honorable discharge.
He then entered the Coast Guard Reserves in the Homeland Security Department. While in the Coast Guard, he earned many commendations including a Humanitarian Service Medal, a National Defense Service Medal with 3 bronze stars, and a DOT Outstanding Unit Award. In total, Thomas worked for the U.S. Coast Guard for over 30 years as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Amongst the things that made Tom the most happy was spending time with his family. Special occasions and holidays were his favorite things to look forward to. Drop in visits were always welcome and encouraged. In addition to family, Tom had the most special friends that would stop by his home for a visit and that delighted him. Going on drives with Darlene, enjoying a meal out and attending festivals in the North End of Boston were always things that he looked forward to.
Besides his fiancée Darlene, Thomas is survived by five children and 11 grand children, Laurie M. Bavaro and husband Jason of Merrimack, NH, Daniel Moulton and his partner Eenae Tam of Brighton, MA, John Moulton and his fiancée Lisa Fusco of Milbury, MA, Bonnie Bate and her husband David of Milton, MA, and Wendy Driscoll and her husband Thomas of Hingham, MA; nine grandchildren include Dylan Borges, Shelby and Sydney Moulton, Maisie Bavaro, Ashton and Madison Bate, Emily, Claire and Caroline Driscoll; two great grandchildren; Carley and Oliver Moulton, a brother, Kevin Moulton of Manchester, NH; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Moulton of Pelham, NH. Two special friends in life include Donna (Chartier) Lussier, Judy (Couture) Paladino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation on Friday, January 3, 2024, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 9:30 to 11:15 AM with a Funeral Service to follow in the Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M.
