Virginia Fichera

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother;

Virginia (Naples) Fichera, 89, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 21, 2023, at Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem, NH surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank V. Fichera who died in 1994.

Born in Lynn, MA, November 2, 1934, the daughter of the late James and the late Mary (Picano) Naples, she attended Saugus schools and was a graduate of Saugus High School. Virginia went on to attend Fazio Cosmetology School in Lawrence.

Prior to her retirement, Virginia, a licensed hairstylist, was the owner and operator of Windmill Hair Salon in Pelham, NH for many years.

An active member and volunteer at St. Patrick Parish in Pelham, she was also a member of the Pelham Senior Citizens and was the Queen of the Red Hat Society of Pelham New Hampshire.

However, Virginia’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by a daughter Connie Crooker and her husband Kevin of Pelham, NH; a son Frank V. Fichera, Jr. and his wife Diane of Pelham, NH; four grandchildren Angela Terry of Pelham, NH, Frank V. Fichera, III of Hudson, NH, Michael Crooker and his wife Chelsea Higham of Pelham, NH and Nicolas G. Fichera and his husband Michael Lieu of Medford, MA; a great granddaughter Bennet Mae Crooker of Pelham; and many nieces and nephews.
