William DeBarthe Hatch
 
Beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather;
 
Willard DeBarthe Hatch of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 18, 2021, at his residence. He was 98 years old.
 
Will was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Philip Lowery Hatch and the late Marie Louise Hatch. He graduated from High School in Cleveland, OH and was a member of the Cleveland Grays militia.
 
A veteran of World War II, he proudly served his country in the US Army from 1943-1945 and was stationed in the Philippines.
 
After returning from the army, he had a varied career working for different engineering firms and colleges.
 
Throughout his life, Will’s hobbies included gardening, singing in choir, cooking, and camping. He will be remembered for his cheesy sense of humor, love of family, and famous cooking skills.
 
Will leaves behind his children, John Hatch of California, Elizabeth Marchand of North Carolina, and Susan Moscaritolo of Oregon.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kaia Alderson of New York, Alex Alderson, Caleb Alderson, and Thaddeus Victor of Oregon, Raymond Marchand, Katherine Marchand, and Sarah Marchand of North Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Rafe Alderson of New York and Benjamin Alderson of Oregon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
 
His Graveside Service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH on Monday September 27, 2021, at 11 o’clock. (Please arrive at Main Entrance between 10:30 and 10:45 A.M.). E-condolences at www.pelhamfuneralhome.com.
